You may have seen him on TV One’s ‘Purina Pound Pups to Dog Stars’? He trained the famous Toyota Bugger Dog, he recently taught an octopus to take a selfie (Sony’s Octographer campaign), he bought the Genesis Pukekos to our screen and who could forget the famous ‘Driving Dogs’?
Mark Vette is a an internationally renowned animal behaviourist, TV Personality, Zoologist and founder of ‘Dog Zen’ (his methodology and now an online dog training program).
The Brief
Help distill a unique proposition which encapsulated Mark’s incredible talent and methodology and turn it into an identity and communications platform. Advise on brand structure, messaging and identity.
Brand Positioning
We developed a smart strategy to tie together Mark’s several business offerings (Animals on Q, the behavioural clinic and international online training system) in a clean, brand architecture and identity system that is enabling him to meet his lifetime business vision; to create a global community of followers who can train their dog online and transform their relationship with their precious pooch.

Creative
Amazing Results Lovingly – sees the word ‘Zen’ run to the heart of the descriptor. This is not only a consumer value proposition, but it also a clever campaign idea which we use in a series of humorous communications (on and offline).
It embodies what Mark achieves for his clients and his philosophy – that “love is understanding” with ‘Zen’ being a central philosophy.
Design
A Zen-like design system builds out of Mark’s calligraphic brush-stroke illustration of a Dog contentedly curled up (in a posture which embodies a calm dog in a learning state).
